What a wild ride this volume was with twists and turns so unexpected it'll make your heart stop. I love this series and feel like it'll never end. I'm sure the author has the ending in mind already and I wait with such anticipation for how it will all unfold.

Our boys are challenged in ways they never thought possible and continue to survive no matter what is thrown at them. Go boys!

My poor Sanguine!
What have you done to my poor boy!
This companion book will ripped your heart in two, then turn around and make you glad you took the ride! And what a ride it is, so buckle up and take it, it's so worth it.

Hearing Sanguine's story isn't easy, but it made me fall in love with him completely. I can't wait to see where he ends up and how powerful he'll become, because I know we've only touched on how powerful he really is!

Garden of Spiders Volume 1
I like Elish Dekker from the beginning. I probably shouldn't have, he's mean practically a bully, but there was something about him that put him in my good graces. Now, after reading this book, I love Elish and all he stands for. Is he right? I'm not sure, but he sure fights for what he believes in and he takes planning to a whole new level.

What a story! This one altered everything.

Elish, Elish, Elish! What do we do with you?

What great characters, story telling. If you want to be entertained than read this series. I'm not one for Dystopian, I didn't like the Walking Dead, but I have to tell you this series sucked me in from the start and I can't get enough. Every character, scene and plot intertwine so thoroughly I never know what is going to happen and I'm surprised at every turn.

Highest praise to this author!

Review: Behind Closed Doors [5-Chapter Sampler]

Behind Closed Doors [5-Chapter Sampler] Behind Closed Doors [5-Chapter Sampler] by B.A. Paris
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Behind Closed Doors
I hear quite a bit about this book, so thought I'd give the free 5-Chapter sampler a go and have to say I never continued on.

I found it rather boring with all the detail about how they were so perfect, their lives being intertwine so much that she couldn't go anywhere or do anything with anyone else. I found it all too much and could have been told in a couple of pages. But the absolute worst for me was the wedding—seriously! I don't think so. That was it for me. I couldn't read anymore. Sad really because I had high hopes for this one!

Review: 18 and Life on Skid Row

18 and Life on Skid Row 18 and Life on Skid Row by Sebastian Bach
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

18 and Life on Skid Row
I Remember You!

As a fan of Sebastian Back (Probably because he's a fellow Torontonian) reading this book gave me an insight to the man himself, which was completely unexpected. I've read a few reviews about how the book jumps in time and other nonsense, but really if I think back on my own life and had to write it all down, I'm pretty sure I'd be all over the place too, so give him some slack. I give Sebastian praise for taking on this feat and finishing it. It's hard to write a book and even harder to write your own story I'm sure. I understand why he wanted to write it, rather than pay someone else—I wouldn't trust anyone with my life story either.

This book brought back to so many good times I had forgotten. What a trip down memory lane. I love and miss my carefree days of youth, but I'm also glad I'm not that young and naive anymore! I do believe some things were glossed over or left out entirely, but do we really need to know every intimate detail of someones life—I for one don't. I think this book gave just the right amount of detail.

Thanks for taking the chance and writing the book, it was very enjoyable. Much success to you in the future!

Where Willows Won't Grow
What a great read!

A great mix of dark and twisted with just a splash of vulnerable and sweet. I love how the characters are fleshed out and the story grips you with every scene. Well done!

Illythe is my favorite and I could so picture him in my mind. Seeing all sides of him really completes his character for me. To go from hard and cold, to soft and emotional is spectacularly done. He's so beautiful inside and out.

Great read, highly recommended!

Review: Silent Child

Silent Child Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Silent Child
This book came highly recommended, which was sourly disappointing.

I have to say the authors style of writing in this novel was good, but I knew from the beginning what happened and who was responsible, which left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm a crime/suspense genre reader and lover of films, so I'm not easily surprised by most works, but this was way too easy to figure out. Too many hints, coincidences and just plain telling the reader who did it. It's unfortunate, but true.

I did finish the story which is a nod to the authors writing ability because generally when I've figured out the plot I put the book down, but this one kept me reading, which again is the a nod to the style of writing. I will probably read another by this author hoping the next mystery won't be so obvious.

Review: Sweet Destiny

Sweet Destiny Sweet Destiny by Aliya DalRae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet Destiny
She's done it again! Sweet Destiny is a great ending to a wonderful trilogy that I've enjoyed reading from beginning to end. The story weaves through Jessica Sweet's self-discovery, family revelations, and her life as a new. She begins a journey in the first book and comes full circle by the last page of the third book.

The characters along the way that touch Jessica's heart and help her on her journey are every bit as important as Jessica herself. She finds more help and love then one person can hope to have.

The last book puts to rest all questions asked throughout the series, but also answers some the readers wouldn't have known to ask.

Well done and highly recommended!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mindful Monsters
Another adorable monsters of the rainbow book. This read includes life lessons strategically placed within the text. Such a creative way to add in life's most important things.

Another nice touch is apparently the author held some sort of contest and added two new monsters that represented the winners. Loved this aspect and I'm sure made a child's day to be immortalized in a book! Very thoughtful.

Highly recommend this terrific book!

In the back of the book are some interactive games which was a nice added touch. Word search, a maze, spot things and other fun activities for a child or adult.

Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a fun read for them and their child.

Fallocaust

I loved this book! I don't normally read Post-Apocalyptic, it just doesn't interest me, but this book came highly recommended, so I gave it a shot. And boy, am I ever glad I did... what a story.

The development of the entire plot was awesome, the pace just right and kept me hanging on each page to the point I couldn't put it down. Not many books do this to me, but this one did. I love Reaver, and knew he was special from the get go, but was still surprised in the end. Nice job, well done!

Can't wait to read the next one!

The Innocent Auction
What a story! Heartbreaking at times, happy at other times. This had it all and I loved it from start to finish. Bring the tissues, you'll need them.

The author paints a picture of the slums of London 1810, which brings the reader right into the time and place. All characters are interesting and well developed. I really felt the emotions from each character.

I'll definitely be moving onto book 2!

This was a great story about a miserable, moody, older guy who falls for his younger, energetic, personal assistant.

Well done!

Hard For My Boss
A fun, care free story which was slightly predictable, but the humor made up for some of that.

The two main characters were quite well developed, just a tad too on point. I'm quite certain Ben wouldn't act the way he did, so it didn't ring true for me.

Overall, the story moved along quickly and was a fun read!

It has formed, the new pack and Patrick's new life. This series was awesome from start to finish and it's my hope we'll get to hear more from this pack in the future!

The conclusion to the story is as happy as it can be, but there are still things that could be addressed, but they would be years out from when these stories take place. If you've read Sweet Vengeance and Sweet Discovery you'll know what I'm talking about. If you haven't read them... go now!

Dark of Night

Okay, I admit it—I'm such a fangirl! You could probably write the phone book and I'd love—do we still have phone books?

Although, this is not the same as the first three and it did take a bit to adjust my expectations already knowing the world of the the other three novels, this novels stands on it's own merits.

I loved seeing this world from a different perspective and I loved getting a glimpse of hunter training and Tarrick's Academy. If I look at the other novels, what I do know for sure is that bigger things are coming for this series, so watch out BeMo fans. Jex is just getting started!

In case it wasn't obvious—I loved this novel and can't wait for more!

These stories about Patrick and the wolf's are awesome! It's so entertaining to hear how he's turned and how he fights into the pack. The dynamic of a wolf pack is fascinating, but this particular one is even more fabulous.

I love Jet! I loved him in the Beautiful Monsters trilogy and I love him in this novella. What a great look into the mind of this character. I'm still anticipating the 4th book in the series, but this was a nice filler while I wait.
Getting another glimpse of Tarrick was truly great. I know there is more to him then what we saw in the trilogy. He has more motive than what he lets on, and this story pretty much solidified that for me.
Highly recommended if your a fan of the series!
